Milestones

My daughter reached an important American milestone yesterday - her first credit card offer.  Four months shy of her 2nd birthday I'm not entirely sure she's ready to handle the responsibility, but I did send the response card in to see what would happen (I circled her date of birth and indicated her occupation as 'pre-school student').  I'll keep you posted.

That is the perfect response! I can't wait to hear what happens.

This may be one of the funniest things I have read in some time. Do keep us abreast of the outcome.

Great blog, BTW.

well..I am a business analyst in a fortune 500 credit card company (based in mclean, va). Most credit card companies have a name scoring process through which they determine prospects. I wonder how your daughter's came up in that list.

Here's a little challenge. See if you can get her 100K worth of credit before she hits 5!

What scares me is the data...how did she end up on the list, where did they get her name, etc. Just think about the data/paper trail that will follow your daughter (and my sons) by the time they hit 18...scary world.
