"I publish what Iu2019m doing (and as a result people know if they can reach me or not, whether to try me at my office or on my cell, etc.)"nnHere in Houston we had a rash of home invasions. All business owners with their business listing showing up at their home address and found via google maps. Should'nt be too long before the thugs figure out how to use twitter. Good luck with that.

don't feel stalkerish - my theory is that people wouldn't put out information if they didn't want you to know what they were up to.

like any social medium there's a certain amount of noise. this noise definitely increases with the number of people you follow (logic suggests that as you expand your circle you are by definition following people you have a incrementally less connection with and therefore are less likely to care about their mundane observations). i'm always amazed when i see people who follow thousands or tens of thousands on twitter - how they cut through the noise, i'll never understand.

hehe, good observation JIM. But if he is open to publish his status online then why do you worry ? :) Seth Levine, you brought a very good idea of how to make use of twitter. Apply for the Evangelist post in Twitter. :)

I have been a twitter user for sometime now, but I find it useful for little more then opting into blog or web publishers i care to get updates from. Almost like an email list. Most of the stuff is trivial, however. Do I care that Brad Feld is "going for a run"? Not really and I feel a bit stalkerish reading that to be honest because I don't know him personally.
